I am senior at an all female school in Cincinnati, Ohio. I also had the opportunity to attend boarding school in a rural West Virgina town for my Sophomore and part of my Junior year. I developed a passion for the rights of those living in oppression really through my mother. She has been a missionary and volunteered for “Not For Sale” and has fought for the right for girls in developing countries to be educated through the Room to Read organization. So, through being involved with her, I developed my own interests in the area of putting an end to all forms of oppression in particular human trafficking. My goal is to major in Women’s Studies and join the Peace Corp upon graduating from college. I am so excited to be serving with a group of like-minded peers who share my passion. For fun, I run cross-country and sing and act in local community and school theater productions.
