Hanzhang Zheng – Portland, OR

I am interested in participating in the Board, because I want to spread awareness about this topic and help as much as possible. There are many people who believe that slavery and human trafficking were only issues in the past, but it is still incredibly prevalent today. I was actually not very aware of this problem until this past school year when one of my school  NHS GSP was to raise awareness and hold a fundraiser for human trafficking awareness. I did some research on this topic and discovered the horrors of this issue. Now, I want to do as much as I can to help the people who suffer through this. Even though we are only students and we do not have very much power, we can still make a difference; and I want to be part of that difference.
