Emily Teshima – Manitowoc, WI

I am from Wisconsin. I first became aware of this program from my religion teacher. We read a short story by Frederick Douglass in my sophomore English class, and it really touched my heart to hear about his struggles. This story let me see the value of every human being no matter who they are. The story, My Bondage and My Freedom, is when I first became aware of human trafficking and how cruel people were. I then joined the Board to help stop this.
