In the aftermath of the November 10, 2010 sale, prostitution, kidnapping, rape, and murder of five-year-old Shaniya Nicole Davis, her father, Bradley Lockhart, felt compelled to help communities and children throughout the world by speaking out against human trafficking, child exploitation, and other horrific crimes against children.
Bradley Lockhart is the director and founder of ShaniyaSpeaks.org. In this role, Mr. Lockhart coordinates, manages, and leads a team that provides assistance with many aspects of combating human trafficking & child exploitation, including community awareness, education, assistance with passing legislation, and community outreach centers and programs.
Before starting ShaniyaSpeaks in 2010, Mr. Lockhart worked overseas for a national environmental remediation company in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In his role as an Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor, Mr. Lockhart was responsible for the overall safety, environmental impact, and health of the company and its employees. Mr. Lockhart hopes to help bring to communities, the country, and the world much-needed awareness of and action against the increasingly rapidly growing crimes of child exploitation and human trafficking. ShaniyaSpeaks.org offers a wide range of community and victim outreach services and programs.
Drawing on the personal impact of his loss of his daughter, Mr. Lockhart now focuses on combating human trafficking and child exploitation while telling the world Shaniya’s story through ShaniyaSpeaks.org and becoming her voice. Passionate about preventing both this horrific crime from happening to another child, and the unimaginable pain that victims’ families have to endure, Mr. Lockhart stands strong in his faith in God that change must occur, or it could be your child we are talking about next.
